As follows, Meta announces the permanent chopping of quest glasses:
- – Meta Quest Pro has been reduced from $1,499 to $999 (a $500 savings).
- – Meta Quest 2 (256GB) reduced from $499 to $429 (a $70 savings).
The smallest glasses, the Meta Quest 2 (128GB), continue at $399 (a $30 difference in capacity).
Meta has upped the prices of the two Meta Quest 2 models from $299 to $399 and $499, respectively, claiming an increase in production expenses, in July 2022.
The aim is to reduce the $2 Quest 499 price to $429, saying that the goal is to develop the most diverse variety of VR headsets (accessible to as many people as possible) and to stop talking about pricing.
